No Gavel In My Hand

     Do you need a safe place to share your heart? A place where someone will unconditionally listen to your heart without trying to “correct” or “fix” you? Then you have stumbled onto the correct blog! I am a wife, and a mom of 3 children. Our family lives a fairly quiet and simple life in Oklahoma. I was raised protestant and have attended church since before I was even born. Please don’t click away yet! As nothing in this life is perfect, I have struggled with the church’s imperfections. It is the one place where everyone should be and feel welcomed. Sadly, I am acutely aware that this is not always the case. My personal and life long experience with being a part of the church has been both uplifting and at times quite discouraging. I want to inject a heartfelt and sincere apology if you have ever been hurt by a church or by a person(s) who attends it. My hope and prayer is that this small space on the internet will be a place of refuge, encouragement, and healing for you. I will share my flaws and my strengths with as much balance and openness as possible. I hope that you will feel free to do the same. Be encouraged today! We all wander in the darkness of this life at times; but the light is always there when we look for it. Hope is often found when we are down on the floor; it is that soft illumination seeping underneath a closed door. I promise to listen with sincerity and seek first to understand and encourage you.
